Training Opportunities / Advanced Product Owner

Great Product Owners Don’t Just Build Features.

They shape strategy, align stakeholders, and deliver outcomes. Most Product Owners get stuck in story churn and stakeholder chaos. This class breaks you out of that cycle—so you can lead with clarity, speak the language of value, and drive real impact.

Completing this class earns you the Scrum Alliance® Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner® (A-CSPO).

Take this first: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).

You already know how Scrum works. You’ve worked with a backlog.

But at this level, your job isn’t just to manage tickets—it’s to drive product strategy, guide teams through uncertainty, and make tough tradeoffs that move the business forward.

Prerequisites

To join the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) program, you need to hold a current Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) credential and have at least 12 months of real-world Product Owner experience (cumulative, not consecutive).

Scrum Alliance requires it. We do too—because this course builds on your lived experience.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO)?

A-CSPO is more than a credential—it’s proof you’ve moved beyond feature wrangling.

Issued by Scrum Alliance, the A-CSPO shows you’re ready to lead product strategy, influence outcomes, and align stakeholders. You don’t just manage the backlog—you drive the product forward. This course gives you the systems, tools, and confidence to lead at scale.

Who should take this course?

– Practicing Product Owners with at least one year of experience

– Product managers stepping into agile delivery

– CSPO graduates who want to move from tickets to outcomes

– Anyone responsible for defining value and delivering it

If you’re tired of backlog chaos and stakeholder swirl, this is your next step.

Do I need prior Scrum or Agile experience?

Yes. To enroll, you must hold an active Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and have at least 12 months of experience in a PO-related role. This course assumes you’ve faced the real-world challenges—and you’re ready to lead through them.

How is the class delivered?

Live, immersive, and instructor-led—online via Zoom or in-person at select locations. Every session is interactive and built around real product challenges. You won’t sit still—and you won’t leave uncertain.

What’s the course duration?

Two full days, eight hours each—remote or in-person. No fluff. Just the tools, mindset, and momentum you need.

What materials do I receive?

A digital workbook packed with strategic tools and templates, lifetime access to updated course materials, POMS-based frameworks and field-tested exercises, your personal product leadership action plan, and your official A-CSPO certification from Scrum Alliance.

Is attendance mandatory?

Yes. Full participation in both days (or all cohort sessions) is required for certification. This is applied leadership training—not a passive walkthrough.

Is there an exam?

No. No test. No trick questions. If you’re here, we assume you’re ready to grow through doing—not memorizing.

When do I get my certification?

After you complete the course and Scrum Alliance verifies your active CSPO + experience, your A-CSPO credential will be issued. You’ll also receive a 2-year Scrum Alliance membership.

Do I need to renew the certification?

Yes—every two years. To renew, earn 30 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and pay a $175 renewal fee to Scrum Alliance. You can bundle renewals if you hold multiple certifications.

What can I do with this certification?

An A-CSPO shows that you own the product—not just the backlog; make strategic decisions and prioritize for impact; align stakeholders and deliver what matters; and are ready to mentor others and lead delivery at scale. It proves you’re ready to lead outcomes, not just output.

Does this certification guarantee me a Product Owner job?

No certification can make promises—but this one sets you apart. It shows that you’ve gone deeper—into strategy, alignment, delivery, and leadership. And that you’ve trained with someone who’s helped shape product teams at scale.

What’s next after A-CSPO?

You’re eligible to pursue Certified Scrum Professional – Product Owner (CSP-PO), Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) programs, and coaching tracks and enterprise product roles. You’ll also join a peer group serious about doing product work the right way.

What’s the cost?

Pricing is shown with each cohort above.

We don’t offer group discounts—because we don’t sell seats, we build leaders. Every seat is filled by someone ready to lead, not just attend.

What’s your refund policy?

– Full refund if canceled 10+ days before class

– Cancellations within 10 days receive a credit for a future session

– No-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling

Do I get post-class support?

Yes—and it matters. You’ll get access to our private alumni Slack or LinkedIn space, follow-up content and resources, and optional mentorship and coaching connections. We don’t disappear after the class.
